National Schools Biathlon Champions!

Unbelievable! Tripurbeck athletes Jed S and Ludo R joined up with Ben S to win the year 5 National Schools Biathlon finals today at Crystal Palace. The boys had made it through 2 regional qualifying competitions to compete and blew the field away in the team competition to win by a massive 300 points. The margin of victory was secured by 6 personal bests from 6 events – you can’t do better than that! Racing for Castle Court School, all 3 secured places in the British Championship in May. Ben also took the individual title after winning the swim and coming 7th overall in the run. Sam W, also from Castle Court, raced the year 7 event as an individual and followed a pb in the swim to win the run in style against a quality field, finishing 10th overall.
