Another busy week with lots of  TriPurbeck athletes in action. Jed S and George R were part of the Castle Court Team that took bronze in the nationals IAPS swimming final in the team medley – brilliant racing boys.

Kerry competed in her first cyclo cross enduro race in Devon and won. Sounds like a tough event with lots of mud – great performance!

Kerry’s race report appears here…

James and Richie took a look at the Moreton circuit ride on Thursday – sounds like fun! James stuck with the fast group, showing off his biking credentials and Richie was kind enough to help a young lady around the course……. I question his motivation!

I brushed off the lycra for the first time this year and chased Fran around the Salisbury Triathlon course – as per usual coming off second best. Fran Finished 2nd overall despite not enjoying it too much and nearly getting blown off her bike on the A303 – in fact, its not a race we will be doing again – the bike course was all serious main road and with the wind as strong as it was today it was genuinely dangerous. We weren’t impressed to find that the organisers had not actually ridden the course before the event. Big potholes on the 303, a gusting side wind and lorries going past at 60mph… ummm.

Justin and Richie and perhaps some others we don’t know about are in action in the Puddletown Road 10k  on Wednesday, bike ride meet at the sports centre at 6pm tomorrow.
