I was right about one thing and wrong about another last week. I was wrong about it being the end of the cross country season and right that I have run out of superlatives to describe the running exploits of TriPurbeck’s super junior squad. Running for Dorset at the Inter-county National Cross Country on Saturday Serena, Sam, Lola and Jed all ran very well – Sam finishing 49th in the under 17 men (out of 274 of the best runners in the country), Lola 136th (out of 289) in the under 15s and Jed 141st (out of 301) also in the under 15s. Stellar performance of the day, though, once again goes to Serena finishing an extraordinary 3rd in the under 17s girls race (yes i know I gave it away with the photo).

And there may be more as they are all racing in the National Clubs Championships in Blackburn (somewhere near Swindon i think???) at the weekend.

So no pressure on the senior athletes opening their multi-sport season at the New Forest Duathlon or the Brutal in Swanage then………:-)

ps I do really know that Blackburn isn’t really near Swindon.
