Tripurbeck members racing across Europe and in diverse events last weekend included Mark Ryder making his 70.3 debut in the Salzburg 70.3 in Zell am Zee! Not put off by the snow (?!?) he clocked an excellent 6hr11min time making Roddy’s non appearance at Swanage look a little sketchy. If ever there was a draw for the big man to come out of retirement this surely must be it.The mini Ryder’s also put in storming performances in the iron kids event with Milya 10th in her category and Digby 9th in his.

Meanwhile in Studland, TriPurbeck people were making an excellent fist of outnumbering Purbeck runners at the 5k. Neil came in 5th overall followed in no particular order by…. deep breath….. Cosmo, Jack, Richie, Gail, Charlie C, Callum, George, Jane, Mandy, Molly, Mark, Andy, Lily, Sam, Clare, Vince and Max A. Highlights from the day included Cosmo taking 3rd place in the junior race behind older boys, Lily taking 2nd in the junior girls race and Cosmo and Jack both beating Richie :-)

Also meanwhile, Chris, Cheryl and Simon were having a great time racing in the national club relays in Nottingham – not for triPurbeck though as we didn’t have a team….. one for next year I think.
