5 days to go and here are the race day details for the Sika Trail Duathlon.

Registration is open from 8.15am – 10.00am but you must register at least 30 minutes before the start time of your event.   

Adult race – Race briefing 10.30am followed immediately by the start  (suitable for all abilities):

Exact distance for the race are:

Run  1     Bike            Run 2
3.8 miles 12.4 miles 2 miles

The terrain is entirely forest trail. The run routes are mildly undulating. The bike route is run over 4 laps, passing through transition on each lap so you can be cheered along! It contains one steep incline of about 50m in length (no problem if you want to get off and walk!)

Junior Races – Starting from 9.00am:

Tristar 1 (9-10yrs) 800m 1600m 400m

Tristar 3 (13-14yrs) 1600m 3200m 800m

The terrain is entirely forest trail. The run routes are flat, out and back on a forest trail.  The bike route is run over an 800m lap, passing through transition on each lap so you can be cheered along! The bike route is not technically demanding.

Prizes:

Adults: Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd male and female and 1st male and female vet (over 40)

Juniors: Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd boy and girl in each age category.

Additional information:

There will be a photographer at the event and photographs will be available online at www.tripurbeck.com on our flickr stream in the days following the event.

Refreshments will be available near the transition/registration area.

Post race massage will be available from Alison Milmer.

Bike pampering will be available at the Wurth stand – get your chain set running smooth!!

Transition and registration are within 50m of the carpark.

Toilet facilities are provided.

Directions

The Sika Trail carpark is approximately 1 mile outside Wareham on the Bere Road heading from Wareham to Bere Regis. The nearest available post code to the carpark is the Silent Woman pub which is 300m past the carpark heading away from Wareham BH20 7PA.
