Amazing racing today in the woods – it was very hot and dusty for April!
Photos from the event are already available to view at www.actionpic.co.uk – there are some great shots!
Provisional results appear here – full race results with bike splits and a complete race report will be added to the site shortly. Hope everyone enjoyed it!

Thanks Ade and Fran for a great day, also a massive thanks to the marshals who were brilliant, without their encouragement I’d have given up!
By the way, is it normal to not be able to walk the next day?
P.S. Elizabeth says ‘thank you’ as well and that your organisation was inspirational .
Really glad you enjoyed it – thanks for the tips on getting up that hill by the way – still couldn’t stop my wheel spinning!
Thanks a lot for organising this event, it was brilliant and or course the sun helped – I’ll be back next year, after having worked on my running a bit!!!
Thanks again.
Well done Fran and Ade for hosting the event and to everyon taking part. Lovely morning in the Forest, and great to see the event behind held here. Was good fun and hopefully you will go on to do more events like this. I, however, as much as I enjoyed getting out and stretching my legs, will not be taking up any future off-road biking!
All the Best
Steve
I would like to lodge a formal complaint against runner number 60 who intentionally spiked his greatest threat, runner number 55 with an unprovoked assault . This resulted in me having to carry a serious injury throughout, losing at least 18 minutes to my overall time (which would have meant I would have beaten him)!!!! Additionally, runner number 60 stole my helmet!
I hope this issue will be investigated and a suitable punishment administered.
I look forward to hearing from you regarding this matter.
Runner number 60 (Dave)
*Whoops. I’m 55 not 60, that’s what happens with age!
Runner number 55 (Dave)
after careful consideraton the race referee has decided to reject your ‘formal complaint’ on the grounds that it is unlikely Andy could see you never mind spike you he was so far ahead!! With regard to the helmet i think you forgot it! its in my car – but then that’s what happens with age!
I would like to thank Tri Purbeck and all organisors involved for a fantastic event! This was my first duathlon and I really had a fun time. Big thanks have to also go to all the friendly marshals and supporters around the course, they were all so encouraging…especially the boy cheering at the bottom of the steep bike climb!!
Hi Fran and Ade , I can only reiterate the first comments on this page, it was a fabulous morning and great to see so many turn out especially the more seniors of us all! I hope that Dave has accepted the race referee’s judgement with good grace!!;) Have a fabulous Easter and please thank Annie for her tremendous support of Mikayla.
