TriPurbeck stretched its net half way round the World on Saturday as Jed Skilton competed in a super sprint tri in Dubai (presumably because it rhymes?). Anyway – racing in the 13-18 age category (he’s 13) he clearly paid no attention to the rules about beating your elders by winning outright. Brilliant racing Jed – short report from John below and cool trophy! Ooh – probably ought to add – not that I am relating in any way to the Skilton annual holiday count – that when I saved the image I had to save at JedDubai2 as JedDubai already exists!

“It was the first race of the 2XU Tri series held in Dubai

He was in the super sprint – 13 to 18 age group – he was second out of the swim and then took the front on the bike and ran a great final leg – it was getting hot by this time too!  Haven’t got a time yet – also I was rubbish and didn’t look at the watch!!

Non wet suit swim with added hazard of jelly fish!!  - No health and safety here!! – maybe that made him swim faster!!!”
