…….is possibly against the rules according to the btf but turned out to be unavoidable on Sunday.

In other news, Simon Carvisglia (1hr6mins and pictured above in a completely different event), Cheryl Weeks (1hr11mins), Rachel Middle (1hr12mins) and Trevor Prince (1hr13mins) all had great races at the Wimborne Tri but it was TriPurbeck junior member Lucy Brain with the result of the day finishing second female overall in 56mins.

Mandy and Mark ran marathons and half marathons respectively in the run up to ironman and half ironman later in the summer. Neil McDermott finished 14th overall posting an excellent 3hr10min in the Dorset Village Marathon - super quick given the hilly nature of the course.

Fran knocked 3 minutes off her time for the Steyning Triathlon despite the run being longer to finish second overall and showing some early season speed in shorter events as she prepares for the World Long Distance Championships on June 1st. And I can’t tell whether the horse box was a help or a hinderance as I brushed off my classy trisuit for the first time this year in the sprint event and only got beaten by 2 blokes over 60 and presumably a horse although I can’t be sure the box was occupied……
