Stunning weather and a stunning setting for the junior tri at Milton Abbey yesterday. A small but very talented field raced around the grounds and produced lots of fantastic racing. Notable performances came from Sam Brown, winning the junior boys race despite a serious challenge from Josh Prior. Great to see athletes from North Dorset Tri mixing it with our juniors as well! Perhaps performance of the day was in the very first race where Serena O’Connor clawed back a 1 minute deficit on the swim to finally overtake a very fast biking Lily Burnet on the last lap of the run to win the Tristar 3 girls race. Lola Brown and Will Baker won the TS2 races and Max Bungay and Heidi Taylor topped the standings in TS1, Jess Baker was second and Katie Hales a strong 3rd in her first ever race. A great tussle in the swim between Fin Bungay and George Mahon in the Tristart race saw them enter transition neck and neck but a bit of super Fin pfaffing combined with a very fast moving George sorted out the places – two wins in a row for George! Finally in the girls Tristart race a first win for Annabel Cobb and an excellent 2nd for Maddie Matthews and 3rd for Felicity Cobb.

Hope you all enjoyed it – results appear below…….
