Another fun filled weekend of racing for the TriPurbeck crew this weekend. Big Pbs for Sam Brown again on the track – notably a 2.01 in the 800m. Jack McD (pictured) took an excellent silver medal in the national Schools Biathlon at Leweston school on Sunday – great result and he didn’t even need to take his bike! Unfortunately I can’t give you the details as the results won’t appear on my magic box.
Meanwhile up in Sussex the mighty midget was up to her tricks in the Sussex Triathlon middle distance. Whether it was the rousing rendition of early morning hymns from the Christian retreat next door (I doubt this), the hot weather or the promise of ’a really tough course’ from the organisers, I’m not sure but suffice it to say the Franster ripped it. 4.49 with a pb in the swim and run, 7th overall and winner of the ladies race by 13 minutes in a good field – all setting up nicely for the European Ironman 70.3 in Germany in August.
