Listen you lot…… this is supposed to be a triathlon club, enough with the crazy speed running.

Only joking! More very impressive early season running form boding very well for when you have to do it off a bike very soon :-) Neil (the metronome) McDermott apparently managed to put in a 250m sprint for the line at the London Marathon to smash his 3hr target by a massive 5 seconds – and in dong so broke Justin’s club record (of course that’s both the triclub and Purbeck runners record) with an excellent 2hr59min55sec. Liz Goldsack also broke her 4hr target – this time by a hefty 4 minutes – and she would have been several minutes quicker had she not stopped at mile 25 to help a fellow runner in trouble – massive achievements for both Neil and Liz. Meanwhile, Sam Brown smashed more pbs on the track posting 4.20 for 1500m and 2.09 for 800m.

Possibly inspired by all of this, several TriPurbeck juniors and Liz and Clare McD took part in the Poole Parkrun yeaterday….. here are their times – brilliant performances from the juniors with lots of pbs!!
