TriPurbeck had two amazing teams competing in the Children in Need Charity half ironman at Joe’s Gym in Swanage yesterday with the juniors and adults mix and matching to put in a great effort and record some fantastic times – as well raising some money for a good cause. The juniors who competed deserve a special mention with Lily and Molly swiming brilliantly and Sam recording an incredible pb on the running machine. With no MAMILs in sight by the time the TriPurbeck teams took to the pool, the event was characterised by fantastic team spirit and a lot of fun. Mega effort everyone – well done! And…. another special mention for Guy who stepped in to put it all together after Fran and I had to go and sit in a traffic jam near Taunton.

Here are the times - shame about the dodgy bike for TriPurbeck 1 which recorded a 50min time irrelevant of the actual speed - but it was all good fun!
