What kind of a nutter takes to the lanes of Dorset to run 13miles in the bitter wind last Sunday? Well it turns out quite a few nutters, some of them TriPurbeckites pitched up for the Blackmore Vale Half. Chris Weeks clocked a fairly impressive 1hr19mintme to finish 6th - presumably because he wanted to get back indoors as quickly as possible? Reports that he ran the whole race holding a hairdryer to mimic the conditions he expects in ironman Texas in a few months are not yet substantiated. Justin and Neil both clocked in the 1.20s and Simon clocked an excellent 1hr44min time – though not on his bike as the pic may suggest – that was taken in the sunshibe at Sika before the ice age.

There are a few people heading over for the park run on Saturday and then we are into the duathlon season……… and it’s bound to warm up for the Sika race on the 24th March.
